Peter Walsh Eagle Project - Tomorrow!

Post date: Apr 22, 2016 11:35:46 PM

Just a reminder that Peter Walsh's Eagle project is tomorrow. This is a good opportunity for scouts to get environmental service hours for advancement.

Date: Saturday April 23

Departure Time: 8:30 AM

Place: Meet at Glenmar United Methodist Church Shed - 4701 New Cut Road Ellicott City, MD 21043

Project: The project is to create a working garden and fence on an empty plot of land at the United Methodist Church Board of Child Care in Windsor Mill, MD. This is a residential facility for teenage foster kids. The project consists of clearing the site, building 6 – 8’x10’ raised planter boxes, fill with the appropriate soil and ground cover and then fence in the entire 30’x 50’ area.

This project is a great way for the residents there to work their own gardens, grow their own food as well as grow food to be sold at the monthly “fairs” that they host on campus.

Additional Request: I do need help with the costs and would greatly appreciate any support that you can give. The estimated cost of this project is$850.

Checks are accepted (Payable to Peter Walsh) as well as cash. All donations are tax-deductible and receipts are available on request. All of the funds collected will be spent on the project and materials.

If you have any questions, please contact Kyle Walsh at kaw7@verizon.net, or 410-935-5744.

Thank you.
